1.  The big corporate stores give to animal charitites. Why should I shop with Paw And Order instead?

Great Question! While the corporate stores give a tiny PERCENTAGE of their profits to charity- We give ALL of our profits to animal rescues. Also, we guarantee 5% of your purchase will go to your chosen charity. Not 5% of the profit ... 5% of the total purchase! That's a big difference.  Paw And Order is a non-profit corporation. No shareholders. The only thing driving us is our mission to support animal rescue.

2.  As a rescue what do I have to do to receive money from Paw And Order?

We make it really easy! Click our sign up link here. Enter your name, email and tax id number. Click send. Then mail or fax to us a copy of your 501(c)(3) status. That's it!

3.  What if I don't have a 501(c)(3)?

We are only able to give to 501(c)(3) recognized animal rescues. We suggest you apply for 501c3 status. We will sign you up as soon as you get your paper work!

4.  I don't see any charities in my area. What should I do?

Go ahead and shop! Your money will still go to animal rescue, you just will not have directed a portion to a specific charity. Then, tell your favorite local charity about us so they can register. Or contact us and let us know where you live and we will look for someone to sign up in your area.

5.  I don't want to buy from the corporate store but I don't see what I need for sale on your site. Will you be carrying more products in the future?

Yes! We will be adding product daily with the goal of soon having everything you could need or want. But don't wait. If you want or need something you don't see in stock, let us know. We can probably get it for you right way. It takes time to enter products. We may even already have what you need and just have not entered it yet.

6.  I want to shop with you but I have horses and a bird. Why do you carry only dog and cat products?

We will be adding other animal products soon. Eventually we plan to carry horse, bird, fish ,reptile, small animal, wild bird and pond supplies. You can sign up to be notified when bird and horse products are available. Just send an email requesting to be notified.

7.  How did you get this idea?

Jane Brundage, co-founder of Pets Inc., The Carolinas' Humane Society was looking for ways to fund operating costs during the recession. She recognized that all animal rescues are so busy helping animals that they struggle to find time to fundraise. She thought people shopping for their pets obviously love animals and they should be able to let their shopping support their love of animals instead of corporate shareholders. She thought the solution lie in a national store that would direct all of the proceeds to local animal rescues. What's not to like? We had to give it a go!

8.  This is a great idea! Is there anything I can do to help?

Yes! Yes! Yes! Tell everyone you know who lives with a dog or cat about PawAndOrderOnline.org. The more shoppers we have and the more charities we support the more we can impact the quality of animals' lives. The creation of a no-kill nation is a big job that can only be accomplished by the love of many.

  • Let your neighbors and family know that they can make a difference.
  • Invite your local animal rescue agencies to join us. Let them know how very much they are appreciated and that we can help them with funding so they can accomplish more.
